Congratulations to our Ellis Tech Teacher of the Year, Mr. Sorel!

Congratulations to our 2024 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Sorel! Mr. Sorel has been at Ellis since 2021.

When given this honor by his colleagues, Mr. Sorel said “It is with immense honor and humility that I accept this prestigious recognition. This acknowledgment is not only a testament to my dedication and passion for teaching but also a reflection of the support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues, students, and the administration here at Ellis Tech.

Teaching has always been more than just a profession for me; it is a calling, a vocation that I approach with unwavering commitment and enthusiasm every single day. I firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of a brighter future, and I am deeply committed to empowering and inspiring the next generation.

Receiving the Teacher of the Year award is both humbling and motivating. It serves as a reminder of the importance of excellence in education and the impact that educators can have on the lives of their students. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent our school and our dedicated faculty members who work tirelessly to create an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As I reflect on this honor, I am reminded of the countless individuals who have influenced and shaped my journey as an educator. From my mentors who have guided me along the way to my students who continually inspire me with their curiosity and determination, I am indebted to each and every one of them.
