Ellis Tech Attends Orion Utility Grand Opening!

Mr. Formiglio and his Electrical Seniors, attended the Orion Utility Contractors Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Event on 10/29/2024. Many local business, and community leaders including the Killingly Business Association (KBA), the Northeast Chamber of Commerce, and local politicians were also in attendance. Students met with company employees and learned about lineperson tasks, equipment and responsibilities.
A.Reynolds Electric attended the event. Owners Adam Reynolds, an Ellis alumnus his wife, Jennifer Reynolds (KBA Membership Committee Co-Chair), and Sadie Murray, senior electrical student were in attendance as well. A.Reynolds Electric, whose entire team of electricians and apprentices are all from Ellis Tech!
Braydon Ingraham took this opportunity to thank Killingly Business Association Vice President, Amy Brunet, for being a part of the team that awarded him a Tips for Tools scholarship freshman year. The Tips for Tools Scholarship program was started by Shane Young, also a member of the KBA. Both Shane and Amy are alumni of Ellis Tech!
Mrs. Pascone was in attendance too, demonstrating the importance of networking and supporting new businesses in the community. She also was very proud of the students in who attended the event and who impressed many attendees!
